Heavy Weight Drill Pipe (HWDP)

Standard HWDP is manufactured with solid bar or green tube. There is extra long EU tool joints on the two ends and  long EU in the middle part, with the function of drill collar and drill pipe. Since the transition from the drill collar to the drill pipe section drastic changes , bending stress concentrates on  the drill pipes. Therefore HWDP between drill collar and drill pipe can ease the section changes, reduce the stress concentration, so as to reduce the drilling accident. In addition, compared with the drill collar, HWDP have many advantages such as easy fishing, shorten operation time, easy transportation, and keep the direction of direction well. In condition of hook load and same drilling pressure, the use of HWDP can improve the ability of deep drilling rig. Thus HWDP has been widely used in vertical and inclined well.
 

Features

1. Made of 4145H alloy structural steel. 
2. Production complies with the provisions under the Standard SY/T 5146-1997. Connector screws comply with the provisions of the Standard API SPEC 7-1.
3. The tube section has a larger diameter at mid length to protect the heavy weight drill pipe from wear.
4. Internal coating TK34, PM200, PM350 are available, or according to client requirement request 
5. hardbanding "ANKE" 100XT 150XT 300XT 350XT, DURABAND NC, OTW12, TCS series are available.
